“ان لوگوں کی مثال جو اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے مال خرچ کرتے ہیں، اس دانے جیسی ہے جس سے سات بالیاں اگیں اور ہر بالی میں سو دانے ہوں، اور اللہ جس کے لیے چاہتا ہے دگنا فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ بڑی وسعت والا اور خوب جاننے والا ہے۔”— سورۃ البقرہ (2:261)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثَةٍ: إِلاَّ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ»
رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: “جب انسان مر جاتا ہے تو اس کا عمل رک جاتا ہے مگر تین چیزیں باقی رہتی ہیں: صدقہ جاریہ، یا وہ علم جس سے نفع اٹھایا جائے، یا نیک اولاد جو اس کے لیے دعا کرے۔”— صحیح مسلم (1631)
